   CA is well controlled but this lens is not quite as sharp at the edges as one would expect from an L series.

   Ok, its the MkI version and originally manufactured in 1991, so it probaly was considered excellent at that time, but the bar gets raised!

   Focusing on the the postives, the lens is extremely compact and its not white so you don’t stand out on the crowd.
